[Public transport fare discount plan]
The government has introduced a discounted fare for designated public transport at RMB 2 per trip to encourage people with disabilities to integrate into the community. The beneficiaries are disabled persons under the age of 65 who are covered by the Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) scheme; and disability allowance recipients. The public transport modes covered by the concession plan include MTR, franchised buses, ferries and green minibuses.
