Introduction

Silver Mine Bay is a bay in Hong Kong. The inner bay is Mui Wo, and the hills to the northwest of the bay used to mine silver, hence the name Silver Mine Bay. Since the 1930s, hotels and small markets have been built on the banks of Mui Wo Bay, which has become a holiday hotspot in Hong Kong, attracting visitors every weekend. When you come to Mui Wo, remember to enjoy the scenery at Silver Mine Bay Beach; you can also enjoy delicious food at the seafood restaurant. You can take the bus directly to Po Lin Monastery, Big Buddha, Ngong Ping Plaza, Ngong Ping Village and Tai O at the bus terminal in front of Mui Wo Ferry Pier to continue your tour of Lantau Island.

Accessibility description

The passages around Mui Wo Ferry Pier and Silver Mine Bay are generally wide, suitable for wheelchairs/persons with reduced mobility.

 FG Tips
