Introduction

The Western District Community Centre is a multi-purpose community hall located on the west street of Sai Ying Pun, Hong Kong Island. It used to be called the Old Tsan Yuk Hospital where the Tsan Yuk Hospital was located. Its main building was rated as Hong Kong Grade 3 by the Antiquities Advisory Committee in 1992. The historical building has now been upgraded to the first class.

Accessibility description

The West District Community Centre is a first-class historical building, with only a few barrier-free facilities added, including guide paths and touch-reading floor plans. The design does not fully consider the needs of wheelchairs/persons with reduced mobility. Wheelchair users are not recommended to go alone.

FG Tips

The Western District Community Centre is built on the ramp on the west street. In addition, there are stone steps at the entrance of the gate, so wheelchair users are not allowed to go.
